What the law says
Under Ontario's Trust in Real Estate Services Act, 2002 (TRESA) and its General Regulation (O. Reg. 567/05), before a real estate agent provides services to a client or assistance to a self-represented party, the agent must provide a copy of the RECO Information Guide and explain its contents.
